i've noticed a new trend in design...fluorescent typography is popping up everywhere. i grabbed this brochure at four barrel coffee today because i really liked the use of hot pink and silver. fluorescent colors even showed up on the cover of a recent jcrew catalog...which makes me wonder...if jcrew is using it, is this trend already past its peak? hmm.
i saw the most amazing beehive today! it was spotted just outside of my building at work so i had the opportunity to get really, really close and observe the busy little honey bees. the structure of the hive is fascinating and according to my colleague (who just happens to keep her own bees in a garden in sf) told me that this hive probably took just a few weeks to develop. i'm definitely inspired to learn more about these amazing insects.
i tried this over priced bubbly jasmine tea today and enjoyed it so much that i actually considered paying $12 for a bottle...but i didn't. that's just too pricey for a beverage that doesn't contain alcohol. i do think the packaging is really elegant and found out that it was designed by elixir in sf.
i'm really looking forward to this film because it's based on one of my favorite books by jodi picoult. unfortunately i was disappointed by every other book i've read by her but this is a fantastic story and is one of the few novels that brought me to tears. read it!
as a graphic designer by day and graduate design student by night, i'm saturated in design and constantly seeking new sources of inspiration. this blog serves as an archive of anything that catches my attention.
